Mark Fitton | Portfolio Advisor

Mark Fitton is a Brooklyn-based artist and educator with a strong background in both professional photography and arts education. He holds a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design and spent several years working as a freelance photographer in the fashion and beauty industry, developing a keen eye for style, storytelling, and visual impact.

With more than a decade of experience in arts higher education, Mark has guided many PCC students in creating compelling, college-ready portfolios. He brings a thoughtful, supportive approach to helping young artists refine their ideas, elevate their work, and present their strongest creative voice.

Alongside his teaching, Mark maintains an active fine art practice focused on portraiture and narrative-driven photography, continuing to explore the emotional and visual depth that defines his work.

Finding the right college counselor is the key step in a successful college planning process. To help decide whether our services are the best path forward for students, we offer a 20-minute, complimentary phone meeting to introduce ourselves, get to know you and explain our process. Afterward, we’ll prepare a written proposal to outline our plan for working with you, that includes a suggested sequence and associated fees. Each plan for counseling is customized, based on the student’s abilities, skills and educational objectives.
