Abby Gaskin | Portfolio Advisor

Abby Gaskin is a Toronto-based fashion designer whose work spans international runways, luxury brands, and innovative design research. After earning her BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, she gained hands-on experience designing, creating, and consulting for New York Fashion Week, and completed internships with leading luxury houses, including BODE.

Abby’s personal collections have been shown globally—most notably at Hong Kong Fashion Week as a finalist in the Redress Design Awards and at Toronto Fashion Week as an independent designer. She later joined UNIQLO’s global headquarters in New York City as a womenswear designer on their knitwear and lounge team before returning to Toronto to expand her creative practice.

In 2024, Abby completed her Master’s degree in Japanese Studies, with a focus on aesthetics and culture, further enriching her design perspective. Since 2017, she has guided art and design students worldwide in building standout portfolios and strong applications to top schools, bringing a sharp eye, industry insight, and a supportive approach to every student she works with.

To help decide whether our services are the best path forward for students, we offer a 20-minute, complimentary phone meeting to introduce ourselves, get to know you and explain our process. Afterward, we’ll prepare a written proposal to outline our plan for working with you, that includes a suggested sequence and associated fees. Each plan for counseling is customized, based on the student’s abilities, skills and educational objectives.
